Domestic Cricket
In the 2017 County Championship, Potts made his first-class debut for Durham on June 8, 2017. On the 18th of May 2018, he made his List A debut for Durham in the Royal London One-Day Cup.
In the 2019 Vitality T20 Blast, he made his Durham T20 debut against Northamptonshire on July 19, 2019. The Northern Superchargers purchased him in April 2022 for The Hundred’s 2022 season.
Potts recorded his first five-wicket haul in first-class cricket when he grabbed 6/58 against Leicestershire in the 2022 County Championship later that month. A month later, Potts helped Durham to a 58-run victory over Glamorgan by taking seven wickets in the second innings and eleven in the match.
Potts received his first international call-up in May 2022, when he was picked to England’s Test team for a home series against New Zealand. Potts debuted for England against New Zealand in a Test match on June 2, 2022.
