The Celtics finished second in the Eastern Conference to the Miami Heat but had a little worse record than the Warriors.
The Celtics finished the regular season with a 51-31 record, tied with the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers.
Lastly, Kerr’s team has a home-court advantage in the NBA Finals. It means they could play four games on their own court, including a possible game 7 title decider.
