In addition, India earned four points from their first two matches of Super 4 Stage in Asia Cup hockey and is in good shape to qualify for the title final.

In an entertaining 3-3 draw in a ‘Super 4’ game of the Asia Cup hockey competition on Sunday, Razie Rahim proved to be Malaysia’s rescuer with a hat-trick. Malaysia’s Rahim (12th, 21st, and 56th minutes) converted three penalty corners, while India rallied from a two-goal deficit with goals from Vishnukant Singh (32nd), SV Sunil (53rd), and Nilam Sanjeep Xess (55th).
South Korea defeated Japan 3-1 in the other Super 4 league match to advance to four points. The opening match between South Korea and Malaysia ended in a 2-2 tie. South Korea now leads the Super 4 table with a goal differential of +2 and four points, while India (GD) is in second place with a goal differential of +1 and four points.
With two defeats, Japan has no chance of reaching the final, but Malaysia has a chance if they can beat Japan by a large margin and the match between India and South Korea ends in a draw.
