The 2 evenly balanced sides put up a great fight but in the end, it was Harmanpreet’s Women who emerged victorious. Supernovas team won their 3rd title and became the most successful team in the premier tournament ever. Velocity lost the game with the barest margin of 4 runs. Laura Wolvaardt and Simra Bahadur fought well in the end but could get the whole of it. Wolvaardt played gritty 65* and was looking like the only player who kept going.
For Supernovas, Dottin scored a destructive 64 which helped her team reach 165 runs targets. Captain Harmanpreet produced a beautiful flourish at the end of 43 runs.
In bowling, Sophie Ecclestone and Alana King took 5 wickets in a combine to seal the victory.

Pooja Vastrakar took 5 wickets in the 2 matches she played with an economy of 5.57. Second, on the list was Hayley Matthews with 4 wickets.
Most Runs in the Tournament
The captain of the Supernovas team scored 108 runs in the tournament with an average of 54. She played some beautiful shots in both of the games. 2nd on the list is talented Jemimah Rodrigues with 90 runs.

Deandra Dottin won the award of most valuable player of the tournament. She got prize money of 2.5LAC (INR) for scoring the highest fantasy points in the tournament.

Supernovas won 25 LAC (INR) for winning the Women’s T20 challenge 2022. The team was absolutely pleased and the party won’t stop all night as they once again stamped their authority on the showpiece league.
