The Chessable Masters is the fourth of the 2022 Meltwater Champions Chess Tour’s nine events and is down to the last-standing two players for the final, we take a look at the semi-final results, upcoming final schedule, prize money and other details of the tournament
India’s boy prodigy Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa made his mark at the top of the international chess rankings by storming into his first Meltwater Champions Chess Tour final. In the final of 2022 Chessable Masters, Pragg will face world number two Ding Liren, who knocked out Carlsen in the other semi-final. The Chessable Masters’ two-day final begins today, with the game starting at 18:00 CEST.
2022 Chessable Masters Tournament Rules and Format
The players have 15 minutes to execute all of their movements, plus a 10-second increment, beginning with move 1. In the preliminary round, a win earns 3 points, while a tie earns 1 point.
If a tiebreaker is required, the players will play two 5+3 games and, if necessary, a single Armageddon game, in which White has 5 minutes and Black has 4, and a tie means Black wins. There are no draw offers allowed before move 40.

The tournament will run from May 19 to May 26, with games starting at 16:00 GMT each day (21:30 IST). The action will be aired live from the chess24 studio in Oslo, with commentary. The first four matches of the final between Pragg and Ding Liren will be broadcast live today for fans to watch.

Chessable Masters 2022 Chess Quarter-Final Results and Semi-final Schedule
Ding Liren and Praggnanandhaa, both rated underdogs, advanced to the finals of the Chessable Masters after defeating Magnus Carlsen and Anish Giri, respectively. After drawing the first three games, Ding defeated Carlsen in game four to win the match. Pragg and Giri, meanwhile, amassed two points each after four games to force their match into tiebreaks. In blitz, the 16-year-old Indian prodigy outplayed his famous opponent, knocking him out.
