League of Legends MSI 2022 has the final Rumble Stage rankings, the Knockout Stage schedule, and more.
RNG, T1, G2 Esports, & Evil Geniuses are the teams that have advanced to the knockout stages. Due to RNG’s first-place finish, the Chinese champions could face any of the three remaining teams in the semi-finals.
RNG has selected Evil Geniuses, according to the official police report from LoL Esports. T1 and G2 Esports will compete in another semi-final game on Sunday for a spot in the Grand Finals.
RNG chose the weakest of the three teams, therefore this is an understandable decision. T1 is a difficult one to choose in a Semi-Final matchup.
Apart from that, despite a few sloppy games, G2 Esports is always a threat in best-of-five situations. Remember the best-of-three games are unpredictable, and even the best team might lose to the worst squad on any given day.
As a result, it’s reasonable that RNG was hesitant to take any chances. In any event, the following is the whole Semi-Finals schedule:
Friday-May 27
- RNG vs Evil Geniuses
Saturday-May 28
- T1 vs G2 Esports
In League of Legends MSI 2019, Team Liquid played Invictus Gaming, and G2 Esports faced T1. Team Liquid & G2 Esports were victorious in those matchups, with the latter taking the title in the end. However, only time can tell whether the same event will occur again.
