The Men’s Hockey Asia Cup in 2022 will be the eleventh edition of the Men’s Hockey Asia Cup, the Asian Hockey Federation’s quadrennial international men’s field hockey competition. The event will be place from May 23 to June 1, 2022, at the GBK Hockey Field in Jakarta, Indonesia, as announced on March 15, 2022.
The reigning champions are India and they are the favorites to retain the title. Further, the top three teams that have not previously qualified for the 2023 Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup will do so.

Participating Teams, Countries And Format
The tournament will feature the top five teams from the previous Asia Cup, the hosts, and the two finalists from the 2022 AHF Cup.
The eight teams will be divided into two groups of four and top two teams from each pool will advance to the second round, while the third and fourth ranked teams will be placed in the 5th to 8th classification. The four teams will play each other once in the second round, with the top two teams playing in the final and the remaining two in the third-place play-off, as a World Cup slot is on the line. In the end, the top three teams will go to the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup in India in 2023.
