Both Banks and Naomi stormed out of the show, according to WWE, because they didn’t feel respected as tag team champions.
Naomi And Sasha Banks Stepped Out Of RAW’s Main Event:
On the May 16, 2022, episode of RAW, something unusual happened. The show’s current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions walked out.
Banks and Naomi were slated to compete in a six-woman tag team bout with Becky Lynch, Nikki A.S.H., Asuka, and Dewdrop in the show’s main event. They did, however, leave the arena before the contest began.
Instead, fans were treated to a battle between Becky Lynch and Asuka for the RAW Women’s Championship #1 contender, which Asuka won.
On social media, WWE also issued an official statement. It was reported that Sasha Banks and Naomi felt uncomfortable with two of the match’s superstars. Their true identities were kept hidden.
The corporation recognizes its scripted nature in the statement, which obviously breaches kayfabe. It’s uncertain whether the incident is genuine or staged.
