Earl Thomas was arrested Friday in his hometown of Orange, Texas, more than two weeks after a warrant was issued for his alleged breach of a court protection order after messages he sent to his ex-wife Nina Thomas surfaced
According to WFAA in Dallas, Thomas was detained by the Orange Police Department after being identified at a restaurant. An arrest warrant was filed for Thomas on April 27 in Austin, Texas, after police alleged he violated the protection order by sending threatening communications to a lady concerning her and her children.

A warrant for the arrest of NFL All-Pro safety Earl Thomas was issued by a court in Austin, Texas.
According to the Austin American-Statesman, the former athlete broke a court protection order by sending threatening communications to his wife and children.
“Recently, the woman told police Thomas began sending her text messages that threaten the woman and her children.
Police say Thomas texted the woman that he obtained two handguns earlier that day. Later, he texted, “Waiting on hand in foot is why I’ll kick ur ass.”
The next day Thomas texted, “I hope u in the car with him and the kids and yall drive off the road.” That same day, police say he texted, “Ima let my momma and my cousins poison they (their children) ass.”
According to court documents, the order was signed on April 27. The order charged Thomas with a third-degree felony for violating the protection order two or more times in a 12-month period.
The arrest warrant was issued in Austin, Texas, where Thomas played for the Texas Longhorns in college.
Orange is around 275 miles from Austin, on the Texas-Louisiana state boundary. Trey Dolezal, Thomas’ attorney, told the Austin Chronicle that the warrant was issued as a result of Thomas contacting the lady to see their children. Thomas, 33, is a free agent who has stated his desire to restart his career.

Thomas faces a third-degree felony for at least two violations within 12 months of a May 2021 protection order. That Stipulated he may only connect with the lady through a co-parenting phone app. The lady told police that Thomas had lately begun threatening her and her children via text messages, including one on April 18 notifying her that he had just bought two pistols and another later that day in which he threatened to “kick [her] ass.”
According to Trey Dolezal, who represents Thomas in his current divorce. The arrest warrant originates from Thomas contacting the lady to visit their children.
Thomas, 33, stated that he wishes to return to the NFL. The seven-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro hasn’t played since the 2019 season when he inked a four-year.
$55 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens in free agency. After an argument in which Thomas assaulted teammate Chuck Clark after a training camp exercise. Baltimore fired him in August 2020.
