Surya Kumar Yadav scored 303 runs at an average of 43.29 in the 8 games he has played this season. He along with youngster Tilak Verma looked the only positive for MI from a batting point of view. SKY is the third-highest run-getter of MI even after playing just 8 games. He scored a Match winning Half-century In the first game which MI won against RR.

Surya Kumar Yadav gets ruled out of the IPL 2022

After Mumbai won the second game of their horrible campaign against Gujrat Titans in the last over Surya injured his left forearm muscle. MI won a nail-biting thriller against the table-toppers on the very last delivery of the match thanks to Daniel Sams. After the game news came up that Surya has hurt his left forearm muscle and will be out for the whole tournament. MI hasn’t named any replacement for SKY as there are just a few games left.

Surya’s Hand injury is a big concern for BCCI

The star middle-order batsman of India was also ruled out back in February in a series against Sri Lanka. Surya Kumar Yadav was not included in the team along with Deepak Chahar because of injury. He got a hairline fracture on his hand and got dropped from the T20 series against Lanka. The 31-year-old middle-order batsman even missed a couple of matches of IPL 2022 in the opening phase. It is yet not confirmed whether it’s the same hand or the other but we hope for the best for him.
