Carlos Alcaraz, the newly turned 19-year-old guy is on every tennis page. The Spanish emerging star is the only teenager to defeat Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic back to back on clay.

The only player to defeat the top four players within three days to clinch the Madrid Open title. Alcaraz thrashed No. 1 Novak Djokovic, No. 3 Alexander Zverev, and No. 4 Nadal.

Alcaraz cane past Zverev in straight sets with a score of 6-3, 6-1 to win his fourth ATP title of the year so far. Following his tremendous run, Alcaraz climbed up to No. 6 in the newly released ATP ranking.

Alcaraz was scheduled to play at Italian Open but he was forced to withdraw from the tournament in Rome. The Spanish professional told that he had problems walking following blisters in his ankle and feet.

Alcaraz seemed to have fallen with an injury during his semifinals against Rafael Nadal at the Mutua Madrid Open but he was back at playing to defeat the 21-times Grand Slam champion. The injury didn’t look serious that time but he told he had problems tackling it the other days which forced him to pull out of the ATP Masters 1000 in Italy.

The pair of Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski defeated Juan Sebastián Cabal and Robert Farah to win the men’s doubles tennis title at the Madrid Open.
