The first-of-its-kind privately financed FairBreak Invitational T20 competition, which will be broadcast live, is going to take place in the world of cricket. The competition, which is sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC), is organized by private investors FairBreak and staged in partnership with Cricket Hong Kong.
The competition will be played in the popular T20 style, with six teams comprising some of the best female cricketers in the world. The initial edition of the event was created by Fairbreak, a gender-equality operating organization, with the goal of raising the prominence of women’s sports.

Six teams – the Warriors, Barmy Army, Tornadoes, Spirit, Falcons, and South Coast Sapphires – compete in a single round-robin league stage before the top four teams advance to the playoffs. Aside from the final, the next round will feature a third-fourth playoff.
From May 4 to 15, a total of 19 games will be played in a short and sharp window for the tournament, much like the hugely popular T20 format, which has helped the women’s game capture the imagination of spectators and gets a better foundation in the market. Originally scheduled to take place in Hong Kong, the tournament will instead take place in Dubai.

The FairBreak Invitational T20 will include prominent women’s T20 stars from 36 countries, including those from partner countries. There will be 40 cricketers from the big full-members and 50 from the best associates rubbing shoulders. Due to a controversial absence of NOC issued by the BCCI, no Indian player will compete in the FairBreak Invitational T20, which clashes with India’s own senior domestic T20 league.
