The main round of the Santosh Trophy 2022 involves ten teams divided into two groups, with the top two teams from each group proceeding to the knockouts – semifinals, and then the winners of the last four vying for the trophy after a single round robin format.

Venue
The Kottappadi Stadium and the Payyanad Stadium in Malappuram, Kerala, will host the 20 group stage matches. The Payyanad Stadium will host the semifinals and final.
