On the 2022 PDC Pro Tour, the Interwetten German Darts Grand Prix is the third of thirteen PDC European Tour tournaments. From April 16 to 18, 2022, the competition will be held at the Zenith in Munich. It had a field of 48 players and a prize pool of £140,000, with the winner receiving £25,000.
After defeating Simon Whitlock 8–3 in the 2019 final, Michael van Gerwen is the reigning champion.
PDC Interwetten German Darts Grand Prix 2022 Tournament Format
The event’s top 16 entrants from the PDC ProTour Order of Merit on 1 February were automatically qualified and seeded in the second round. Players from six qualifying events, competed for the remaining 32 spots including 24 spots in the Tour Card Holder Qualifier.
In the first, second, third rounds, and quarterfinals, all matches will be contested over the best of 11 legs. All matches in the semi-finals will be best of 13 legs. The Final will be contested over the best of 15 legs format.

As the Interwetten German Darts Grand Prix second round got underway on Sunday, Welsh player Jonny Clayton defeated Dave Chisnall with a score of 6-2 and advanced to the third round. Meanwhile, Scott Waites became the first American to reach the final day of a European Tour event by defeating World Champion Peter Wright 6-5 in Munich.
