Volition has unveiled a new trailer for Saints Row. The demo will feature a fresh video of the game, with a focus on personalization
The open-world action-adventure game Saints Row began in 2006 as one of several titles ‘inspired’ by Rockstar’s famed Grand Theft Auto series, but it quickly found its feet. The show is recognized for its numerous pop-culture allusions and over-the-top comedy, some of which may be deemed offensive.
After the destruction of the earth in Saints Row IV and the series’ transition to an extraterrestrial simulation, the next core entry basically reboots the franchise and returns it to a more grounded level, akin to a previous couple of sequels, while still retaining the game’s characteristic comedy.
Volition Announces New Saints Row Showcase, Release Date, Time, Trailer And Livestream April 2022
On April 20, 2022, Saints Row will have an ‘Ultimate Customization Showcase.’
Volition revealed today that a new showcase would take place on April 20, 2022. This will be the first time the game has been seen publicly since it was delayed in February of this year, during a month that saw the release of Horizon Forbidden West, Dying Light 2, and Elden Ring.
The live stream of the showcase, which will focus on customization, will be available on Saints Row’s YouTube site and Deep Silver’s Twitch channel. The following are the times for each region’s showcase:
- Pacific Standard Time (PST): 12:00 PM
- Eastern Standard Time (EST): 3:00 PM
- British Summer Time (BST): 8:00 PM
- Central European Time (CET): 9:00 PM
- Indian Standard Time (IST): 12:30 AM (April 21, 2022)
- Japan Standard Time (JST): 4:00 AM (April 21, 2022)

While the first two games in the series were relatively grounded, Saints Row the Third began to take the franchise on a path that included over-the-top comedy and obvious pop-culture allusions.
The fourth entry of the franchise, which was initially meant as a DLC Expansion for the third, removed all of the comedy from the equation, with the player assuming the role of President of the United States after rising from the ranks of a gang leader. The Earth was then attacked by Aliens, who blew up the earth, trapping the player in a Matrix-style simulation with superpowers.

By the time Gat Out of Hell came out, a separate expansion for IV had taken the players to Hell. Where they met Satan face to face. The comedy seemed comfortable with the series because it was in the same vein.
When Saints Row 2022 was initially released, it was met with a barrage of criticism from fans. While the gamers were pleased with the developer’s decision to reinvent the franchise. It seemed too alien to the series’ essence.
The game transports players to Santo Ileso, a new city set in the American southwest. Three criminal groups are now in control of the city. Los Panteros, a rugged automobile, and the fitness-oriented gang are the first. Idols, an anarchist gang centered on nightclubs and nightlife, is the second, and Marshall Defense Industries, an international private military organization famed for superior high-tech weaponry, is the third.
The player will assume the position of the new boss, the Saints’ commander, and a former Marshall Defense Industries employee. He/she will be accompanied by Neenah, a former Los Panteros technician who now acts as the gang’s driver.

The new Saints will also include Kevin, a DJ who is a member of the Idols and manages the execution of their heists. And Eli, a business mogul with an MBA who now plans the operations of the Boss’s group.
Release Date and availability:
The game was supposed to be released in February 2022, but it has been postponed. It will be available on the Epic Games Store on August 23, 2022, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC.
