The Women’s FIH Hockey Junior World Cup in 2022 is the ninth edition of the biannual Women’s FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, which is held by the International Hockey Federation every two years. It was set to take place in Potchefstroom, South Africa, from December 5 to 16, 2021. However, it was later postponed, with South Africa remaining the host. The event is taking place at the original venue and will run from April 2 to 13, 2022.
Argentina were the defending champions having won the previous edition. This year also, Argentina were one of the favorites to win the tournament but they got knocked out by Germany with a score of 4-1 in the quarter-finals.

For the final event, a total of 16 teams qualified. Apart from South Africa, which qualified as hosts automatically, 15 other teams qualified from five other continental competitions.
In the preliminaries, 16 teams are divided into four groups and top-two teams from each group qualified for the quarter-finals.

2022 Women’s FIH Hockey Junior World Cup Results, Schedule, Date, Time And Fixtures
India’s ambition of reaching their first Women’s Hockey Junior World Cup final was dashed as they were defeated 3-0 by the Netherlands in the semifinals at Potchefstroom, South Africa. Tessa Beetsma , Luna Fokke and Jip Dicke scored for the Dutch, who qualified for the final with the hopes of winning their fourth world title.
Germany thrashed England 8-0 in the other semi-final and advanced to the final, where they will face Netherlands. Meanwhile, India and England in third-place match on the same day of the final. Both final and third-place match will be played on 12th April 2022.
