WWE has released many less wrestlers and talent in recent years than in previous years. Due to reported financial constraints, 80 wrestlers were “future endeavoured” last year. The year 2022 has been quite quiet. Sources have verified to SportsGrail that MSK member Nash Carter has been released, only days after capturing the NXT Tag Team Championship at Stand and Deliver. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful was the first to report on this.

Nash’s wife, Kimber Lee, has accused him of domestic abuse and tweeted a photo of him making a Nazi salute in recent days (via Ringside News). This is the first major WWE product to be release.

Cesaro is the most recent wrestler to leave the WWE, as revealed by PWInsider on February 24. The King of Swing had been with WWE for 11 years, but he wasn’t the company’s longest-serving on-screen personality. Carlos Cabrera had been dismissed by Spanish a week before. Since 1993, he has been on WWE television.

WWE has released a slew of on-air talent, ranging from wrestlers to referees to general managers. With the release of both William Regal and Jesse James, these releases have been exceptionally devastating for NXT. We’ll keep you up to know on wrestler releases as they come throughout the year.
