On Monday, the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) franchises confirmed their pre-draft signings and retentions for the forthcoming season, know the 2022 retained players list
For the 2022 season, there were two pre-draft windows. According to cricbuzz.com, each team can keep up to five Caribbean players in the first window, with a maximum of two from the top five pay places.
In the second window, the clubs were granted the opportunity to add a couple of more local players. These signings could be players who were not retained by other teams or who had previously played for that team.
CPL 2022 Teams Retained And Signed Players List, Draft And Auction Details
The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) has released the list of retained local players and signed for the 2022 season. Many well-known West Indian talents have been mentioned in this category. However, more significantly, the franchises have demonstrated trust in their steady performers.
The CPL 2022 season begins on August 30 and concludes on September 30. Six clubs will compete in the event. The defending champions are the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. In the previous edition’s final, they defeated the Saint Lucia Kings.
Since its start in 2013, the West Indies’ main franchise T20 competition has included six teams, and there will be no change in the number of teams this year.
With all the pre-draft CPL 2022 player retentions and signings so far along with released, here’s a look at the list of all teams.
St Kitts & Nevis Patriots
Dwayne Bravo, Evin Lewis, Sheldon Cottrell, and Sherfane Rutherford have all been retained by the champion St Kitts & Nevis Patriots.

The Saint Lucia Kings
The Saint Lucia Kings, who finished second last year, have put their faith in Roston Chase, the previous season’s Player of the Tournament, as well as pacers Kesrick Williams and Alzarri Joseph.

Trinbago Knight Riders

Barbados Royals
Meanwhile, the Barbados Royals have opted to keep their captain and star all-rounder Jason Holder, as well as Kyle Mayers, Hayden Walsh, Oshane Thomas, and others, for the 2019 season. They have signed Devon Thomas and Obed McCoy, two experienced West Indies players.
