The Squats Army was reported to be making a reappearance in Warhammer 40k, and now the Leagues of Votann have been confirmed by GW. Squats are back in Warhammer 40K 9th Edition, according to a new teaser released to Warhammer Community by Games Workshop.

They made this announcement on April Fools’ Day. That’s why initially no one took this huge news seriously since everyone thinks it was a joke. But the news is, in fact, turn out to be real.
Who Are Squats?
The Leagues of Votann are a polity made up of Squats, commonly known as Kin. In the 41st Millennium, an unnamed Tyranid splinter hive fleet annihilated the Squat species’ homeworlds, eradicating the Squat race.
Some survivors, though, continue to serve in the Astra Militarum, seeking retribution and a new beginning. They were restored into the universe’s backdrop when the Warhammer 40,000 6th Edition rules expressly classified them as an Abhuman sub-species recognised by the Imperium.
The new 40k squats have been confirmed by GW. In the year 2022, a brand-new miniature will be released.
Squat’s Comeback In Warhammer 40K
On April 1st, 2022, Games Workshop produced a film that features a tiny surprise at the conclusion. Games Workshop has announced the Leagues of Votann as a new faction for 40k Squats, and the first figurine has been released.
