Although Virat Kohli is undoubtedly one of the finest players to have graced the game of cricket, the Indian captain has not always endeared himself. Its due to his petulant personality with the batsman being smeared for his antics both on and away from the pitch.
While his over aggressive behaviour during cricket matches hasn’t sat down too well with ardent viewers of the game, Kohli has managed to court controversy when he’s missing from the game as well. His comments and outlandish statements on a string of topics have left people seething.
Kohli Calls For Cracker Ban During Diwali
Kohli has mostly been taken jibes at for asking for a cracker ban on Delhi whilst gushing wishes during Bakra Eid. The cricket’s duplicity has not gone down well with Indian with many hitting out at Kohli for his inability to call out the mammoth culling of goats during Eid.
Virat Kohli Includes Eggs In His Diet
Kohli who had in 2019 claimed that he had turned vegetarian in a chat session with Kevin Pietersen made a bemusing comment on Instagram recent. In an Ask Me Anything session on the social medial platform, the cricketer went onto claim that he included eggs in his diet.
In the AMA, Kohli was quizzed about what the kind of diet he partook. The Indian and RCB captain had gone onto opine: “Lots of vegetables, some eggs, 2 cups of Coffee, quinoa, lots of spinach, love dosas too. But all in controlled quantities.”
His confession of eating eggs left people scratching their heads with Kohli having previously claimed that he was now a vegan. Kohli, had gone onto talk about in an interview with Graham Bensinger, about the impact of the vegan diet on his body.
Virat Kohli Vegan Or Not?
The Indian captain has now gone onto offer a clarification ensuing the massive backlash he’s had to face. The Delhi born batsman took to Twitter to take a jibe at people slandering him as he claimed he had always maintained that he was a vegetarian and was not a vegan.

Kohli will next month be leading India into the final of the WTC Final 2021 against New Zealand. It remains to be seen if the showpiece inaugural final of the event will finally break Kohli’s duck when it comes to a major international trophy as Indian captain.
