The tournament is taking pace at Lusail Sports Arena, Doha and will run till 1st April 2022. The tournament is taking place immediately after WTT Contender Doha 2022 at the same venue.

Men’s and Women’s Singles Round of 16 & Doubles Quarterfinals Results

The 2nd seeded Indian women’s doubles team of Manika Batra and Archana Kamath, advanced to the semifinals of the WTT Star Contender Doha 2022 defeating Hong Kong’s Lee Ho Ching and Soo Wai Yam Minnie 13-11, 8-11, 11-5, 13-11. In the last four, Manika and Archana will face Li Yu-Jhun and Cheng I-Ching of Taipei.

G. Sathiyan and Manika, on the other hand, bowed out of singles. While Sathiyan lost in the men’s pre-quarterfinals against Sweden’s Kristian Karlsson 11-5, 8-11, 7-11, 4-11, Manika lost in the women’s round-of-16 to Germany’s Ying Han, seeded six, 5-11, 2-11, 4-11.

WTT Star Contender Doha 2022 Format and Schedule

The WTT Star Contender Doha 2022 is taking place in the Lusail Sports Arena and the main stage began on March 27 and will end on 1st April. The qualifying stage of WTT Contender Doha began on 25th march 2022.

The main draw for the event will feature a 64-player draw for men’s and women’s singles, a 16-pair draw for men’s and women’s doubles, and a 16-pair draw for mixed doubles.
