Sharath Kamal produced a run of outstanding performances at the ongoing WTT Contender Doha 2022, to reach the semi-finals of the Men’s Singles event. With scores of 11-8,11-7,11-4, the 39-year-old Indian veteran defeated Tomislav Pucar in straight sets to go to the semifinals.
In the semi-final, he had to face Yuan Licen of China, who was ranked 246th. The seventh game, which was a do-or-die situation, began with both players neck and neck, with scores ranging from 4-4 to 6-5 to 7-7. Yuan grabbed a 10-8 lead, and with a final game score of 11-9 and an overall score of 4-3, he sealed the match point.

WTT Contender Doha 2022 Format and Schedule
The WTT Contender Doha 2022 will take place in the Lusail Sports Arena and will begin on March 21st and go through March 24th. The qualifying stage of WTT Contender Doha began on 18th march 2022.
The main draw for the event will feature a 32-player draw for men’s and women’s singles, a 16-pair draw for men’s and women’s doubles, and a 16-pair draw for mixed doubles. We take a look at the final day schedule of the tournament.
