As there are no clear favourites to win at the tournament, but there are few who have the reasons and that might motivate them to fight for those motives.
1- Daniil Medvedev
The Russian started his tennis season at ATP Cup, if we talk about his individual performance, he was outstanding. The top-seeded player reached the final of the Australian Open wherein in a very intense match he lost to World No. Three Rafael Nadal. His tremendous form moved him up on top to No. 1 in ATP Rankings following Novak Djokovic’s quarterfinals exit at the Dubai Tennis Championships. The top spot didn’t last long and he moved down to No. 2 again due to his early exit at the Indian Wells Masters despite being one of the favourites at the California desert.
The Russian professional can go back on top. All he needs to do is reach the semifinals of the Mexican Open which he can, looking at his potential and good run form.

The Dubai Tennis Championships 2022 winner was on a 13-match winning streak before his Indian Wells departure, and he is one of the toughest players for the opponents to get dominated for.
3- Carlos Alcaraz

4- Taylor Fritz
The American, who ended Rafael Nadal’s 20-match winning streak, Taylor Fritz won his biggest title ever. Although it is to be seen if he remains to continue with his great form at Miami Open, but his potential was glimpsed at the Indian Wells where he reached the final and defeated one of the toughest opponents. He is considered to be one of the favourites at the tournament.
5- Felix Auger-Aliassime
Despite his early exit in the quarterfinals of the BNP Paribas, the Canadian has had a stunning form. Auger-Aliassime was one of the players with Denis Shapovalov, to power Team Canada to win their first ATP Cup title. One of the strongest players at the tournament.
