“After TWO YEARS, we are proud to announce the Smash World Tour is finally back in its original format!”
The tournament will include “global circuits for Ultimate & Melee, 35+ in-person big community events,” as well as a “$250,000 beginning Championships Prize Pool” for contestants to compete for.

To commemorate the return of the Tournament in 2022, a highlight clip of prior events was released. Others are encouraged to join in the celebrations as well, according to the tournament organisers: “Would you like your event to be a part of the Tour?” Opt-ins for Silver Tournaments around the world begin March 15th!”
