Vanlalnuntluangi wins 1st runner-up at Miss Grand India 2025
Vanlalnuntluangi from Mizoram has emerged as the 1st Runner-Up of the recently concluded 2025 edition of Miss Grand India. Her achievement makes her the highest-ranking Mizo contestant in the pageant’s history. The competition took place on July 13 at the Zee Studios in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and it featured twenty-nine contestants from various states and union territories.
Besides the achievement, Vanlalnuntluangi also won two sub-titles: Best in Swimsuit and Miss Social Media. Following her win, Mizoram’s Chief Minister Lalduhoma posted on Instagram, stating:
Congratulations to Vanlalnuntluangi @vee.lnt Thuampui Veng, Aizawl on being crowned 1st Runner-Up at Miss Grand India 2025! Your achievement on the national stage brings pride to Mizoram and inspires our youth to dream big and shine bright. #MissGrandIndia #MizoPride.”
Former Miss Mizoram 2017, Rody Hnialum, also shared her pride, saying:
We are so proud of you, we are happy that you are the first Mizo to take the crown at the national level.”

Model Vanlalnuntluangi is a young and upcoming pageant star who hails from Aizawl, Mizoram.
