Team Vitality Reveals Its Free Fire Roster And Players In India, In Talks With Garena As Game Is Banned

Despite the game being banned by the Indian government today, team Vitality unveiled its new roster which will be first seen in action in the upcoming Free Fire India Championship 2022 Spring

Europe’s leading esports org, Team Vitality has revealed its Free Fire mobile lineup in India. This comes shortly after announcing Esports Premiere League and Free Fire Tri-Series champion, Indranil “FABINDRO” Saha as the roster’s new coach and IGL. With its second mobile roster ready to go, Team Vitality is looking forward towards competing in the upcoming Free Fire India Championship (FFIC) 2022 Spring which attracts a total prize pool of ₹1 crore (approx. $134k).

The lineup includes Mehul “MEJUSTMEHUL” Rawat, who made his name in the pro Free Fire circuit by being a part of True Rippers, Nigma Galaxy, Noble Esports, and more. Mehul also won several esports acclaims with podium finishes in Free Fire Scrim Wars Official, ESportz Premier Series (Phase 1), and UP City Open Official. Dipu Subba, Sanjog “AIZEN” Thapa, and Sangam Kunwar joins Indranil and Mehul to form the rest of the team.

They made a big splash in 2021 as a part of the underdog team – KM Brotherhood – when they reached #7 position in the Free Fire Pro League 2021 Winter, and #8 position in the World Esports Cup.

Speaking on the occasion, CEO of Team Vitality, Nicolas Maurer said, “Free Fire has seen immense growth over the last couple of years and I’m excited to see Team Vitality enter the fold and showcase what we can do. With this new roster, we also now field athletes from 17 different nationalities as we look to nurture talent across the biggest global esports titles.”

Indranil has done a great job in scouting for and cherry-picking this roster. We trust his decisions fully and are happy that the team is bonding and grinding hard at our Training Facility for the upcoming FFIC. We are very excited to see them achieve great feats in Free Fire.”

What Are The Plans For Team Vitality As Garena Free Fire India Gets Banned 

With the Indian government clamping down on Chinese apps in India with a fresh list of 54 applications banned including Garena Free Fire on Monday in the aftermath of the violence unleashed by China in India, we spoke to Team Vitality about the move.

“We are in talks with Garena and will have an update on the way forwards for us soon,” said Gagan Gupta, Head of Marketing and PR for the Indian setup of the eSports team.
