Yohan did 11,707 pull-ups in just 24 hours and started training for the record during his military service back in 2019.
“Since my wife’s second birth is not far away, I was hesitant to take on the challenge again and I was afraid to experience the extreme 24 hours again,” he said.
“But to give up like that, I felt like I would regret it for the rest of my life and it was too late to finish without taking on the challenge.”

Oh Yohan, born on March 14, 1994, is widely recognized in South Korea for his grit, versatility, and quiet charisma. A graduate of the Korea Army Academy and a Reserve Captain in the elite 707th Special Mission Group, he built his foundation in an environment that demanded both mental and physical excellence. That discipline would later shape every part of his journey, from television to world records.
Yohan is married and has a daughter with his wife currently pregnant with their second child.
He rose to public attention through Steel Unit 3, a reality series on Channel A that pitted former special forces soldiers against each other in intense challenges. Representing Team “707”, Yohan earned respect not just for his strength but for his calm, focused presence throughout the show. Away from the screen, he connected with audiences through his YouTube channel, where he shares his routines and reflections under the name “Eommamusi Oh Yohan.”

In 2024, Yohan attempted to break the Guinness World Record for most pull-ups in 24 hours. His first effort in February — 8,707 pull-ups — fell short of the leading mark. However, when that record was later invalidated due to misconduct, Yohan didn’t celebrate; instead, he used it as motivation. After months of preparation, he returned in September and completed 11,707 pull-ups, setting a new record and dedicating the final digits—707—as a nod to his special forces unit.
Despite the spotlight, he remains closely tied to his roots. In the spring of 2024, he returned to the Korea Army Academy to speak to cadets, sharing insights from his own path — not as a celebrity, but as someone who had stayed grounded through setbacks and discipline. Beyond fitness and media, Yohan found a different rhythm through woodworking, a passion inspired by his uncle. After completing his military service, he launched a small business crafting furniture and interior models.
