Ever since entering the WNBA, Mabrey has consistently contributed across multiple teams and overseas leagues.
She currently plays a key role for the Connecticut Sun, averaging 13.7 points, 4.4 assists, and 4.8 rebounds in the 2024 season. Marina is currently single and unmarried and doesn’t have a partner.

Marina Mabrey was born to parents Patti and Roy Mabrey. Patti Mabrey is a former basketball player who later became a successful youth and high school basketball coach in Belmar, New Jersey. She played a major role in instilling a love for the sport in all of her children and also played a major role in their early training. Patti is known for her tough and competitive mindset and coached Marina through her formative years.

Meanwhile, Marina’s father, Roy Mabrey, maintains a low profile but was equally committed to his children’s athletic development. He regularly attended games, supported training sessions, and helped them build the discipline that helped shape Marina and her siblings into top-level athletes.

Marina has four other siblings and grew up in a family surrounded by basketball talent. She has two brothers named Ryan and Roy and two sisters named Michaela and Dara. Marina falls right in the middle of the five siblings, with two older and two younger siblings. Notably, all four of her siblings have played competitive basketball.

Her oldest brother, Roy, played for St. Anselm in the NCAA Division II, where he made 263 three-pointers. Meanwhile, her older sister, Michaela, was also a standout player at Notre Dame before later becoming the director of recruiting for the LSU women’s basketball program. Dara, who is the youngest, started out her college career at Virginia Tech just before transferring to Notre Dame, where she finished with 301 career three-pointers.
