The Rashidi Foundation, a Muslim organization located in Kolkata which Wazahat belongs to, claimed responsibility for the Panoli’s detention, which occurred in Gurgaon. For those who were unaware, Sharmishta Panoli had made a tirade against Muslims on Instagram with her claiming the Prophet used to visit a who*ehouse.
Sharmishta Panoli was arrested after the video went viral and her bail request was denied, and she will spend two weeks in judicial custody with her being represented by a Muslim lawyer herself after a string of right wing accounts shared her video on Twitter/X.
