While there is no update from the BCCI as to what has happened to the auctioneer, things look extremely sordid. However, there’s good news coming in as per the latest development with him said to be feeling better at the moment as he regains consciousness. As per the latest development, lunch has been taken till 3:30pm IST but there’s no clarification on when the auction will resume owing to Hugh’s health condition.
The IPL auctions meanwhile saw Shreyas Iyer go for a staggering Rs.12.5 crore to KKR to see him become the most expensive buy of the mega auctions till now. He was followed by Harshal Patel whose purple cap showing the last time around saw him being snagged for a solid Rs.10.75 crore with South African Kagiso Rabada taking third place.
David Warner returns to Delhi with the capital based side taking him home for a little over Rs.6 crore. A total of 590 players are under the hammer as teams reshuffle and looking to make a new winning foundation ahead of the impending season which will also be graced by two new teams in Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans.
