As per reports, the CCTV footage was taken on April 12 at the BJP district headquarters and shows Amar Kishore Kashyap approaching a woman on a staircase. According to reports, the woman belongs to the BJP. A party official complained to the BJP leadership about the video, calling it “shameful.”
Amar Kishore Kashyap denied any misconduct by saying political rivals are misrepresenting the footage.
According to Amar Kishore Kashyap, the woman present in the video works as a party worker. “She requested a place to relax as she was not feeling well. She felt lightheaded as he helped her up the steps, so I held her up,” he claimed.

The woman wearing an Indian attire is seen climbing the stairs in a second video of 12 April. She is followed by Amar. He then wraps his arm around her shoulder and gives her a hug shortly after they both stop. Following a brief embrace, they both separate as the politician begins to up the stairs and she follows him.
Kashyap added, “The video is being used to disparage me.”
Kashyap received a notice from Govind Narayan Shukla who is the general secretary of the BJP state.

“The video circulated on social media has brought to light conduct that negatively impacts the party’s reputation and falls under the category of indiscipline,” the notice stated.
Shukla requested in his notice to Kashyap that he provide the written justification to the BJP state office within seven days. This was in accordance with the state president’s directives.
“In accordance with the instructions of the state president, you are hereby asked to submit a written explanation to the BJP state office within seven days. Failure to provide a satisfactory response in the stipulated time will invite strict disciplinary action,” Shukla said.
