Who is Brighton footballer Tom Watson, bio, age, height, position, stats, transfer fee and new club
Sunderland academy graduate Tom Watson has announced his move to Premier League side Brighton but before leaving, he scored the winner that sealed Sunderland’s return to the top flight after eight years ensuring they’ll be joining him in the Premier League. Brighton had agreed to sign Tom for 10 million pounds back in April 2025 but his salary at the club isn’t known yet.
A footballer who was only eleven years old when Sunderland were last demoted from the Premier League completed their eight-year banishment from the top division owing to Tom’s goal. They might not need the millions they will bank from the upcoming move of Watson to Brighton because they won the £200 million match, the most lucrative game in world sport.
No team had ever entered the playoffs in worse shape than Sunderland three weeks prior, having suffered five successive defeats. However, they are now turnaround experts. An unidentified French manager named Regis Le Bris has proven to be a wise pick, as the team is once again in the Premier League.
19-year-old Tom Watson was born on 8 April 2006 in Easington England. Horden, County Durham is where he finished his elementary schooling. Since he was young, he has had a strong interest in football. Thomas began his professional career by enrolling at Sunderland’s youth program with parental assistance.
