At a news conference in Golaghat on Wednesday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed that US rapper Post Malone would be performing in Guwahati on December 8. The event will be a component of the recently launched ‘concert economy’ program by the state administration.
No details about the concert’s venue, time or tickets sale have been revealed yet though.
“Meghalaya has been hosting concerts, and a recent Coldplay concert in Ahmedabad reportedly generated Rs 600 crore in revenue for the state. We had mentioned concert tourism in this year’s budget, and the Cabinet approved the policy today,” said CM Sarma.

Post Malone and his crew have not yet released an official statement about their Guwahati performance.
This year, the number of international music concerts in India has increased significantly. Recently, Ed Sheeran toured the nation in February, and Coldplay played to sold-out audiences in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. The iconic rock group Guns N’ Roses performed a high-energy show in Mumbai just a few days ago.

American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor Austin Richard Post is better known by his stage name, Post Malone. His ability to merge several genres, such as hip-hop, pop, R&B, trap, and country, has helped him become well-known. He entered his birth name into a rap name generator to generate his stage name.
