In July 2024, Nicholas Riccio, 59, and the White House press secretary, 27, welcomed their son, Nicholas Robert Riccio, also known as “Niko.” The two were married six months later, just days before the second inauguration of President Donald Trump in January 2025.
Leavitt, who is the youngest person in history to occupy this position, is conscious of the attention that is drawn to her age and the fact that she is 32 years younger than her husband.
The couple kept their wedding date private, but Leavitt has referred to Riccio as her husband in public statements and on social media with the two having met at a political event through a mutual friend.
Leavitt, the youngest-ever White House press secretary, relationship became public when Leavitt announced their engagement in 2023, sharing an Instagram post with a photo of Riccio proposing.
Who is Nicholas Riccio?
Age 59 Nicholas Riccio was one of four children raised in Hudson, New Hampshire. He told the Sunday Herald in 2005 that he was financially unstable while attending Plymouth State University in New Hampshire after high school.
After graduating from college, Riccio who is a real estate developer followed a career in real estate after taking a course in the subject. He eventually rose to the position of scion in the industry with his own company, Riccio Enterprises LLC, a multimillion dollar property business. Riccio’s net worth stands at $6 million.
Riccio started from humble beginnings as a teenager before pursuing a career in real estate and his breakthrough came in the early 2000s when he purchased rundown properties in Hampton Beach, turning them into profitable housing units. By 2015, he had established himself as a major player in the regional real estate market and his company has holdings across New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and the White Mountains, with a focus on rehabilitating distressed properties.
He currently owns and rents out more than 15 buildings in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, to families. During her interview on The Megyn Kelly Show, Leavitt revealed that she and Riccio first crossed paths in 2022 when she was vying for a congressional seat in New Hampshire. Despite receiving the Republican nomination, she was defeated by Democrat Chris Pappas in the election.
