After a guard of honour by security personnel and wreath-laying ceremony at the airport, Imtiaz’s body was taken to his village in Narayanpur, Saran, Bihar for his final rites. He is survived by his wife and son Imran Raza. While his DOB isn’t known, he was aged between 40-50 years.
He was killed in heavy firing from Pakistan while his unit was stationed along the international border in Jammu and Kashmir’s RS Pura sector.
