Takahata, one of Twitch’s most popular male VTubers, has been embroiled in a drama lately that has caused some streamers to cut ties with him.
Several streamers have allegedly made public announcements that their relationships with Takahata are over or that their contracts with him have been terminated. Netizens have been speculating about what Takahata might have said or done that caused some streamers to sever their connections with him. Takahata and no one else has, however, revealed the details of the dispute.

In a Reddit conversation on the r/VtuberDrama subreddit, a netizen claimed that AliciaXLife had declared separation from Takahata.
Takahata ultimately responded to the ongoing debate over him on Friday, May 9, 2025. He described how well-known streaming community creators have turned away from him and are no longer working with him. Additionally, he acknowledged that some of them have taken down content that included previous partnerships.
VTuber Takahata announced a hiatus from content creation in light of “false rumors” being spread about him.
“While I have no desire to escalate matters or cause unnecessary distress, I have, with the guidance of legal and professional counsel, now compiled a dossier that clearly identifies the falsehoods and substantiates the truth with provable and independent evidence,” he wrote in his social media post.
Takahata claimed that hurtful and untrue stories that circulated around the community were the main cause of the problem. Additionally, he stated that although he knows the source of these allegations, he has decided not to reveal the individual’s identify because of their “emotional vulnerability.”
“I’m aware that the spread of this false narrative has been made possible by a lack of full context. But the allegations now being made and implied are simply untrue. Yes, I do know the identity of the original source, but I also am very aware of that individual’s emotional vulnerability, and I truly have no wish to do them harm. So, at this stage I do not intend to make their identity public or take further action of any kind. It’s my sincere hope this will never be necessary.”
