According to her grieving family, she was brutally attacked and murdered, and they are demanding a full investigation and justice.
Dr. Bhawana Yadav murdered
Dr. Bhawana Yadav was a young and upcoming doctor who was gruesomely murdered. Back on April 21, 2025, Bhawana had left for Delhi to take a weekly test. She stayed with her younger sister, who is currently studying to appear for the Civil Services Examination.
A few days later, on April 24, a man named Umesh Yadav called up Bhawana’s family and informed them that Bhawana had suffered serious burns. He also added that she was admitted to Soni Hospital in Hisar. Despite her family rushing to her side, hospital authorities failed to clearly explain where she was found or how she sustained the injuries. They eventually had to transfer her to SMS Hospital in Jaipur due to her severe condition, where she eventually succumbed to her injuries.

Dr. Bhawana Yadav was a young and upcoming 25-year-old medical graduate from Rajasthan who was recently murdered. She had recently completed her MBBS in the Philippines and was looking to start her practice in India after recently returning. She was regularly traveling to Delhi for mock tests besides attending online Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) preparation classes.

Official investigation reports
According to official reports, Dr. Bhawana Yadav passed away due to injuries from a severe burn. However, initial observations have raised all kinds of serious questions about the exact cause of her death. According to her mother, Gayatri Yadav, Bhawana suffered severe burns to her face, stomach, and legs. However, her hair and back were largely unharmed.
Moreover, they found sharp weapon injuries on her stomach, suggesting a violent assault before being set on fire. Aside from that, Bhawana’s laptop, mobile phone, and critical documents all went missing, which has further fueled suspicions of a premeditated attack. As of now, the Civil Lines Police Station in Hisar has registered a Zero FIR based on the family’s complaint. According to the Station In-Charge Kavita, they are conducting an investigation and are considering Umesh Yadav, the man who brought Bhawana to the hospital, as a crucial link in solving the case.
