Jackson State kicker Leilani Armenta has become the first woman to officially enter the transfer portal for both football and soccer under the NCAA. The young athlete shared the achievement on her socials as she looks to find success as a dual-sport athlete. Her achievement has inspired many female student-athletes, with her next move eagerly anticipated.

Leilani Armenta is a young and upcoming student-athlete who was born on June 22, 2004, in California, USA. She grew up in a sports-loving household and showed an early talent for athletics, particularly in soccer. Armenta started out her athletic journey on the soccer pitch, where she also developed the skills to play football.
A Mexican-American, she grew up in Ventura, California, where she attended St. High School. Her parents are Brandy and Ramon while grandparents are Darline Vior and Russell Vior. She is currently single and unmarried.

Leilani Armenta is currently 20 years old and stands at a height of 5 feet 7 inches.

College sports career
Leilani Armenta started out playing soccer as a forward for the Jackson State’s women’s soccer team. She then made her debut in college football back in 2023 during an HBCU Division I football game as a kicker. She initially came on as an emergency specialist after the Jackson State team was decimated by injuries, forcing head coach T.C. Taylor to call over to the women’s soccer team for help.
Armenta immediately made headlines after delivering a successful kickoff in her debut, scoring three extra points in October 2023. Leilani Armenta also went on to become the first woman to score points at the FCS level. Over the past two seasons, she went on to record four more extra points.
