Mishra, a leg spinner who has represented India in 22 Test matches, 36 ODIs, and 10 T20Is, has meanwhole vowed to sue the offending publications for exploiting his name and picture in “unrelated stories” claiming he was the Amit Mishra is question.

Amit Mishra, a resident of Mirpur Cantt in Kanpur, has been booked for domestic violence by his wife Garima Tiwari and the case has been filed in the court of Judicial Magistrate (Seventh), in which a compensation of Rs 1 crore has been sought against Amit and his family. The court has sent notices to everyone and the next hearing will be held on May 26, 2025.

She allegedly went to Amit’s home in Kidwai Nagar after getting married, where her in-laws allegedly harassed her for the money. Amit later brought him to Tilak Nagar, but the problems persisted there as well. According to Garima, Amit would beat her, steal her money, and engage with other girls on social media. He frequently threatened to get a divorce as well.
Garima claims that depression resulted from the ongoing physical and emotional strain. She attempted suicide as well, but her parents’ prompt presence saved her. She had to stop modelling because of her worsening mental health. According to her attorney Karim Ahmed Siddiqui, the court has sent notice and registered the case.
