For penning rafts of articles berating the ghunghat by Hindu women as a part of their attire as per traditions to throwing their weight behind hijab, India’s leftist media has surely come a long way. Propaganda against a particular community has been unabated, unfurling in its wings to make Hindus the source of everything regressive while painting the other side as the victim.

The same came to the fore on Tuesday as well when an incident emerged from a college. While the exact location of the premises in yet to be ascertained the video is said to be from Karnataka, one where a male student wearing a saffron scarf is heckled and harassed by scores of hijab wearing girls.
And unsurprisingly, the incident has gone unreported in mainstream media, one which has conveniently turned a blind eye to the boisterous sloganeering which is being partaken in against the saffron clad student. The entire row comes in the wake of the Government Pre-University College in Udupi barring entry of girls into a classroom after they turned up wearing hijabs in violation of the school’s uniform code of conduct.
The matter has gained fire with Islamists pelting stones at colleges on Tuesday to see colleges and schools be ordered shut in Karnataka for three days.
