Telvin Osborne, a 30-year-old father of two from Burke County, Georgia, was shot and killed by his 28-year-old girlfriend, Hannah Cobb and initially, Cobb claimed the shooting was accidental, stating she had been cleaning her firearm after a night out at a club. However, after further investigation, authorities charged her with involuntary manslaughter.

After his death, A resurfaced quote, allegedly from Osborne, stated, “I’ll f*ck a dog before I f*ck a Black b*tch. It gotta be a white dog tho” as he faced backlash from the Black community for smearing black women in a bid to simp after white ones. This was one of the many messages posted by Telvin online as he took unbated swipes at women of color.

In addition to the circumstances surrounding his murder, Telvin Osborne’s shooting death has sparked a flurry of social media reactions because of his prior remarks demeaning Black women. Several internet users have voiced conflicting opinions, with some expressing little pity for Osborne and pointing to his own statements as proof of a deep-seated loathing for himself.

One user said, “This one hurt because this is my man’s family but I still gotta tell the truth. Ole boy Telvin was on some coon st with his praise of the white women. This is just like that Nigerian dude that got poked up by his white ‘blessing’ then we found all the ‘akatas’. Damn, Telbo.”

Telvin Osborne death inquiry

The inquiry in Telvin Osborne case is still ongoing and many concerns remain, the shooting has not yet been deemed an accident. Sheriff Williams stated that “simple battery, family violence, and reckless conduct were among the offenses committed prior to the firearm being discharged.” “It is reckless to go out and get drunk and then bring a firearm into an argument,” he clarified.

The predicate charges for the allegation of involuntary manslaughter are pushing and shoving, which is irresponsible when it occurs during an argument. There may be more charges coming, and search warrants have been issued to obtain phone data and other information. The Burke County Detention Centre is where Cobb is being detained.
