The video of Krysta Fauria, an Associated Press reporter ignoring Babyface during Grammy 2025 has gone viral
A ‘disrespectful’ interview with Babyface caused a lot of outrage, prompting reporters on the 2025 Grammys red carpet to issue an apology.
Ahead of tonight’s (Sunday, February 2) 67th Grammy Awards, there were a few fashion gaffes and awkward ensembles walking the red carpet. Two reporters, however, gained notoriety behind the scenes of some of the celebrity interviews for allegedly being “rude” to one of the celebrities.
Associated Press reporters Krysta Fauria and Leslie Ambriz were reportedly sidetracked by another Hollywood figure when they were interviewing legendary musician and producer Babyface.
Leslie Ambriz, alongside Krysta Fauria, greeted Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds during AP’s live red carpet show by calling him a legend and discussed how the fires that have ravaged Los Angeles have brought the community together and how music helped the multi-Grammy winning talent process his emotions.
But when Ambriz asked Edmonds about the rising trend of artists bending genres with their music, her co-host Fauria began screaming at Chappell Roan to get her attention with Babyface then leaving.

On Sunday, February 2, the 67th Grammy Awards was held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. AP reporters Krysta Fauria and her colleague Leslie Ambriz were interviewing Babyface.
However, two minutes into the interaction, the former interrupted the record producer while he was answering one of their questions and called out Chappell Roan by her name.
“I’m really sorry about interrupting Babyface earlier,” said Fauria. “Chappell Roan had come up and there was a lot of commotion as there is on these carpets. But I’m a big Babyface fan, as are we all. And I just wanted to say that I really apologize.”
Kardashian, 40, posted a video of the event on X and blasted the reporters for their behaviour.
If you’re covering a red carpet event, do your research! It was clear you have no idea what you were doing. @leslieambriz_ @krystafauria …And I MUST add that a Black reporter would have NEVER allowed this to go down—this is why diversity in media matters! @AP
