Michael Stepney won the open pairs title at the 2025 World Indoor Bowls Championship alongside Jason Banks, defeating Jason Greenslade and Robert Paxton in the final held in Great Yarmouth.
Scotland has seen huge success, with Jason Banks and Michael Stepney winning Monday’s Open Pairs final, Beth Riva and Jason Banks triumphing in the Mixed Pairs final on Tuesday and JulieForrest lifting the Women’s Singles title on Thursday.
Age 56 Forrest edged out Scottish compatriot Beth Riva to win the women’s singles title at the World Indoor Bowls Championships in Norfolk and triumphed 11-8 8-9 2-0 to win the title for the third time after singles successes at Yarmouth in 2019 and 2020.
Now its over to the quarterfinals on Friday and its an early start for the first quarter-final at 10am, followed by the second and third taking place back-to-back in the afternoon session starting at 1pm while the final quarter-final will be played in the evening session, starting at 7.30pm.
