The Professional Darts Corporation will organize darts competition called 2022 Cazoo Premier League Darts. This tournament will be the 18th edition of Premier League Darts.

Darts Premier League 2022 Format And Rules
League Stage
Every night, instead of the previous round robin format, the event will include an eight-person knockout bracket. Each of the seven matches will be a best-of-eleven series. The players will encounter once in the quarterfinals during the first seven weeks and once in the quarterfinals during weeks 9–15, with weeks 8 and 16 being drawn based on the league standings at the time.
Players will receive two points for finishing in the semi-finals, three points for finishing second, and five points for winning the final.
Play-offs
The two knockout semi-finals feature the top four players in the league table, with 1st facing 4th and 2nd facing 3rd.

In night 1, Peter Wright shook off his Master Darts disappointment and won the week 1 knockout to get full points. He defeated reigning champion Jonny Clayton in the final.
Top-seed Gerwyn Price and 3rd seed Michael van Gerwen both suffered shock defeats in the quarterfinals.
