Tyson Bell, a defenseman with the Halifax Thunderbirds, was involved in an ugly altercation over the weekend that is being investigated by the National Lacrosse League after his fight video went viral
Tyson Bell punched him in the face and struck him over the head with his stick, requiring him to be hauled off a fan.
After the league completes its inquiry, further information about what transpired will be made available. It would be an understatement to say that Tyson Bell, an eight-year NLL professional lacrosse veteran, is a character as there is always something he is doing.

Having said that, Bell is hardly the league’s most composed player. As we saw on Saturday, it is rather simple to set him off. To start the new season, Halifax lost for the third time in a row. After the game, a crowd of lacrosse supporters gathered outside the corridor leading from the box to the dressing room.
It seems like one of the fans gave Bell the finger. Two of them chirped toward him. Their heckling did not go down well, however it is unclear what they may have said.
Bell turned back to the opposition fans right away, his eyes full of rage. He lunged toward them and hit them in the head with a right hook. The 30-year-old shoved aside the protective barrier and continued to attack as the supporters withdrew.
Thankfully, a staff member in the area and a few of Bell’s Thunderbirds colleagues managed to remove him before the situation worsened. Bell, however, caught one of the fans with a brutal stick check because they did not retreat far enough.
He needed to be pulled off of a fan after punching him in the face and hitting him over the head with his stick as seen in the viral video.
The National Lacrosse League is investigating the brawl footage, which is still going viral on social media. It will put in endless effort to determine the reason behind Tyson Bell’s uncontrollable outburst.

After spending five seasons with the Calgary Roughnecks after being selected 24th overall in the 2015 NLL Draft, he won his first NLL title in 2019.
