Previously, in Wind Breaker we witness, Sughishita’s origins and his backstory, revealing his enrollment in the same junior high school as Umemiya. Once the backstory was ended, the scene switched to Furin leader, who was seen encouraging Sughishita to confront his feelings for Sakura.

Wind Breaker Chapter 165 was titled “Haven.” It opened with Sughishita, who was seen following Umemiya after being saved by the leader of a gang of delinquents. Subsequently, he joined Umemiya’s junior high school.
At this point, Umemiya’s allies include only 3 Heavenly Kings, as Hiiragi was still part of another group. On Sughishita’s first day at the school, he received a warm welcome from his seniors, who showered him with various gifts.
Amongst these gifts was Umemiya’s shirt, which deeply moved him. The scene then switched to Umemiya asking Sughishita to clarify his feelings for Sakura. Later, we witnessed Sughishita kidnapping Nirei from the classroom. The chapter concluded with Sughishita and Nirei alone in an empty room.
