Kaylen Dennis tributes
The semi-professional London team claimed it was “devastated” by the news of the terrible death of Kaylen Dennis, an under-23 player for Walthamstow Football Club, while he was on the field.
According to his LinkedIn page, Scott Chickelday, a UEFA-licensed coach who previously coached the Tottenham and QPR academies, called the young player “a talented footballer” who was also “a great character and person.”
Kaylen was praised as a “great kid, great talent, so well-mannered and respectful, always had a smile on his face” in one of the numerous condolences left.
In what seemed to be a heartfelt gesture to his departed relative, Brewster was also seen raising his hand in the air following his goal on Wednesday. Brewster’s remembrance was given soon after the London football club released a statement claiming Dennis died on the field during a game.

Just one hour after hearing the news, Brewster played for Chris Wilder’s Championship leaders against Millwall and scored the lone goal in the Blades’ 1-0 victory. He hadn’t scored in a league game since October 2022, therefore it was his first goal in over two years.
Even though the former Liverpool star would have been thrilled with the result, he chose to dedicate the goal to Kaylen instead of frantically celebrating.
