Sean’s attorneys contend that the allegations and claims by Tony Buzbee are nothing more than blatant publicity gimmicks intended only to extract enormous sums of money from celebrities “who fear having lies spread about them, just as lies have been spread about Mr. Combs.”
Jay-Z said on Sunday that Tony attempted to use extortion to persuade him to accept a settlement through the court system. According to reports, this payment relates to claims that Combs and Jay-Z raped a juvenile in 2000.
Tony Buzbee career and education
The 56-year-old doesn’t have a background in law and in fact, he has roots in the US Marine Corps. Following his graduation with a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Texas A&M University, Buzbee joined the US Marine Corps, serving in the Somalian and Persian Gulf conflicts as an infantry officer in the Corps.
He is married to Frances Moody Buzbee who is part of a wealthy Galveston banking and business family with the two getting married in Texas. She was born in Galveston, Houston and operates an animal rescue in Montgomery County. The two met at a Houston charity event and got married in July 2021 at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Galveston, Texas after Tony proposed to Frances on her 28th birthday.
