The confrontation centered on Welch’s involvement in the controversial launch of the $HAWK meme coin on the Solana blockchain, which has since been embroiled in allegations of insider trading and a “rug pull” scheme.
It all began on December 4, 2024, when Welch introduced the $HAWK meme coin. The token’s value initially surged to a staggering $500 million but plummeted to $60 million in just 20 minutes, raising alarm among investors.
During the live confrontation, Coffeezilla presented on-chain data that suggested suspicious activity during the coin’s launch.

Born on August 20, 1985, Stephen Findeisen, better known as Coffeezilla and Voidzilla is a renowned YouTuber and crypto journalist with his height standing at 5 feet 5 inches. The online personality investigates online scams, particularly in cryptocurrency and decentralized finance. He has been married since 2017 and lives with his wife in San Antonio, Texas.
Findeisen, who has earned a degree in Texas A&M University in chemical engineering, had began his YouTube journey with the channel “Coffee Break” in 2017 and shit it down in 2020.

Coffeezilla’s YouTube journey began when he was inspired to take on scammers after his mother, a cancer survivor, was duped into purchasing dubious health products. His Instagram account which goes by the name @coffeebreak_yt has garnered more than 62.4K followers.
The social media influencer, who previously worked in real estate before pursuing YouTube full-time, is known for his dynamic content style. He uses green screen visuals, animated graphics, and a recurring robot bartender character, Maxwell, to illustrate his investigations.
