Donny Van De Beek is set to join Everton on loan from Manchester United for the rest of the 2021/22 season. The Dutch midfielder was not a regular when it came to playing for Man United, but under new boss Frank Lampard, Van De Beek will look to make an impact along with the Chelsea legend’s ideas of revamping the squad at Goodison Park.

Van De Beek has accepted Everton’s proposal and the deal is now sealed. The paper work for the player to join Frank Lampard’s squad is very much in place and it turns out that it was the Englishman himself who played a big role in persuading the Dutch midfielder to join the Toffees.
Crystal Palace and Valenica were two other clubs who had disclosed their intentions to sign Van De Beek but Everton’s offer did well to beat rival clubs in striking an agreement with the player.
The Toffeemen have agreed to pay 100% of Van De Beek’s per-week wages, which amount to a 100,000 pounds, along with the loan fee of 500,000 pounds. However, United are certain about one thing that the loan move does not ensure a permanent departure from Old Trafford for the Dutch player, given that the Devils have rejected the Toffees’ proposal of an option-to-buy clause.
Man United surely want Van De Beek to make a return to Old Trafford next season with a new manager expected to take over after Ralf Rangnick’s tenure comes to an end.
The 24-year old Dutch midfielder had signed a 5-year/ 31,200,000 pounds contract with Man United, with an annual average salary of 6,240,000 pounds. As of 2021, Van De Beek’s base salary was 6,240,000 pounds along with a cap hit of 6,240,000 pounds which the player carried.
He will be wearing the number 30 jersey at Everton, the same he had worn at Ajax.
